A consultation with Whitaker Legal is $150. If you start your case within 10 days of your consultation, we will deduct the $150 from the total cost of your case!

We accept payment online via credit and debit cards. You can also mail us a check or money order or stop by the office in person to pay by cash, check, or money order.

Prior to your consultation, one of our client intake specialists will be in contact with you for a 20-minute call to gather basic information about your immigration history and your case. During your 30-minute consultation, we’ll let you know how we can help you. We’ll explain the steps in your case, answer any questions you have, and explain how we can get started working for you.

Before your consultation, please send us any documents you have received at the border or from USCIS or from the immigration court that will be helpful for us to evaluate your case.

We meet with our clients by phone and video call. We share and receive documents from clients using our secure online portal so you can keep in contact with us and stay up to date on your immigration case from your phone or computer. Nicole Whitaker

Attorney Nicole Whitaker is the lead attorney at Whitaker Legal and an adjunct professor of law at the University of Baltimore School of Law. She opened Whitaker Legal in 2014 to provide zealous advocacy and honest representation to those who need it the most. She focuses her practice on finding solutions for complicated immigration issues and prides herself in solving problems for clients that other lawyers said were impossible to solve. She works with cases complicated by prior deportations or immigration denials, DUIs, and other criminal convictions.

Aythnis

Aythnis Merced Rivera

Attorney Aythnis Merced Rivera specializes in representing clients in deportation proceedings and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status cases for children under 21 who live in the United States. Prior to joining Whitaker Legal, she worked in the private sector and for non-profit organizations. Aythnis earned her Bachelor’s in Forensic Psychology and her Juris Doctor in Puerto Rico before moving to Washington, DC where she obtained an LL.M. in International Law.

Adriana Jimenez

Attorney Adriana Jimenez focuses on marriage and family-based cases as well as humanitarian immigration cases like VAWA, U visas, and T visas. Her experience also includes work with waivers, military parole in place, and citizenship applications. As a native of San Antonio, Texas and the oldest daughter of Mexican immigrants, she is fully bilingual in Spanish and English. She has zealously represented her clients before United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS), the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).

Our Legal Operations Manager Alejandra Beteta works to ensure our clients get the attention and results that they deserve. In consultations, she screens undocumented individuals for any options they may have to get a work permit or green card without leaving the country. Alejandra was born in Peru and moved with her family to the U.S. when she was 12 years old. Having navigated the immigration system on her own and with her family, she knows firsthand the challenges and stress that immigration causes and meets our clients with empathy and solutions.
